Slime is all the rage. With more than 3 million Instagram posts tagged #slime and thousands upon thousands of YouTube tutorials teaching you how to make slime. I think its safe to say everyone loves slime. With so many recipes out there. How do you know which one is the best? My girls and I have tried so many recipes, even ordered Borax off of eBay. Borax can be a bit of a dodgy subject – use contact lens solution instead.

This is the recipe (quite a common one now) that we use now. Adding different things like glitter, essences, beads etc each time to create something mesmerizing.

I decided to experiment with making a chocolate scented one using cocoa powder 🙂 I know it looks gross, but I promise it smells amazing. Obviously, do NOT let your children play with it unsupervised. IT IS NOT EDIBLE.

3 ingredients you will need

PVA or clear glue

Bicarbonate of Soda

Contact Lens Solution

Cocoa Powder

How to make slime

Pour 1 cup of PVA glue into a bowl.

Next, add a sprinkle of bicarbonate of soda

Add a hea[ed teaspoon of cocoa powder

Give it a good mix

Next, add 1 tablespoon of contact lens solution, don’t add it all at once.

Finally, mix until it starts to become stringy, you will notice it coming away from the edges of your bowl.

Now for the magic, take out the mixture and start kneading it. Don’t worry it will be sticky but the texture will change before your eyes and become really stretchy.

This is the perfect Easter craft activity.
